Johann Zeller

Born March 20th, 1972 in Obergünzburg; as a natural born “Allgäuer” Johann Zeller can look back on an extensive musical past, that is especially characterised by real Bavarian popular music; these special background is probably the reason that he feels comfortable in different styles and cultures; he had his first accordion lessons when he was 6 years old; 1987-2002: keyboarder for the party band “Happy Jack”; 1993-1995: classes at the college for music in Krumbach; 1995-1999 studies at the Richard Strauss conservatory in Munich; from 2005 onwards Germany tour (in total 4) with Franz Benton (singer and songwriter); September 2012: release of an accordion tutor book in 3 volumes; he introduces his own compositions while performing with the harpist Kiko Pedrozo from Paraguay; he still honours his cultural roots while playing as flugelhorn player and accordionist in numerous traditional and other ensembles;
