Hans Hazoth

Born 1963; certified music teacher and university lecturer at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg/München; first music lessons on the accordion at the age of 9 – changed soon to guitar, in the course of time other instrument have been added such as trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, French horn and piano; at an early stage he founded bands and music groups; after finishing school he studied music at the Fachakademie für Musik der Stadt Augsburg in the subjects guitar and piano; afterwards additional studies in the subjects jazz and popular music at the Hochschule der Künste Amsterdam. During the first studies he already discovered the love to jazz and founded a jazz quartet. Performances in clubs and festivals in Germany and abroad with various formations.

1985 – 1987 Europe tour with the Broadway Musical Company New York and the rockmusical “Hair”; teacher for guitar and Big Band at various music schools;  concerts with Rocky Knauer, Aldo Caviglia, Wolfgang Lackerschmid, Christian Stock; CD-recordings with the saxophonist Ray Pizzi (Los Angeles) (Ray Pizzi Quintet); 1996 - foundation of the Institut for Guitar in Augsburg; Concert tour with “Triologue” – Jazz trio with Gilbey Karno and Joseph Warner – and other formations; CD recordings with Joseph Warner Quintet. 2009 award winner for the composition competition of the violin book for Augsburg;
