Franc Zibert

Born in 1951 in Litija/Slowenia; after school graduation he studied music at the conservatory in Ljubljana with the main subjects accordion and trombone; afterwards he studied music pedagogy at the university in Ljubljana and accordion at the conservatory in Trossingen; 1972 and 1973 winner at the international competition in Pula/Croatia; after his studies experiences in international concerts and as music pedagogue; first job at the conservatory in Ljubljana; since 1984 he is living in Germany; since 1989 he is lecturer at the conservatory in Karlsruhe; furthermore he is responsible for the summercourses and lecturer for further educations for accordion teacher; he made numerous radio and TV recordings for Südfunk Stuttgart, Südwestfunk Baden Baden and RTV Slovenija; countless performances at “Festivals der Neuen Musik” in Opatija/Croatia, Radenci/Slovenia, Barcelona, Villach, Triest, “Welt Musiktage” 2003 Ljubljana; numerous premieres;
